All the stages of the Cammino Basiliano
The whole Cammino Basiliano
The Cammino Basiliano unwinds from North to South for 1535 km across Calabria and Lucania: starting from Rocca Imperiale and finishing off in Reggio Calabria, going across the Ionic side of the Appennino Calabro – made up of the mountain chains of Pollino, Sila, Serre e Aspromonte.
Immersed in an ever-changing landscape of coast, valleys, mountains and historic hamlets, the traveller will journey through the centuries and the various cultures that have made history in one of the greenest regions of Europe. The itinerary – that develops along gravel roads, tracks, trails, ancient mule tracks and paved roads – is structured in 81 stages, 7 of which labelled “wild”, which are particularly demanding and suitable only for experienced hikers. Every stage correspond to a day’s walk and for each stage you will find information regarding hospitality in structures like monasteries, B&Bs, scattered hotels, trattorie, restaurants, farmhouses.
