Q&A
What should I wear?
Depending on the trail and on the season, we strongly recommend travellers to bring along pre-tested trekking shoes, together with a hat, a windbreaker, a sweatshirt, and long trousers.
What else should I bring along?
Sunscreen, a small first aid kit, a pocket knife, a walking stick, a GPS device (with data sheet downloaded), fully charged mobile phone.
Will I find a place to drink water along the way?
Yes, on many trails springs are indicated (when available) via the relative way point. Many trails however do not have springs. It is highly recommended in any case to bring along at least a litre of water per person on normal trails and two litres on the “wild” trails.
How can I pay for accommodation and food?
It is recommended to research all the necessary information in advance and bring along cash – seen as in many structures, such as B&B and scattered hotels, they won’t have a POS machine. Furthermore, be advised that in many historical hamlets there won’t be any banks nor cash machines.
Which kind of signage will we find along the trail?
There is no signage along the trail. It is thus necessary to bring along a GPS tracker to download the GPS tracks we provide (here on the website – aggiungerei questo se sei d’accordo). Alternatively, it is possible to book a guided tour via the guides available in the region.
