Important notes – please read carefully
- The initials T, E, EE are displayed on each data sheet and indicate the degree of physical training and knowledge of trekking and hiking necessary in order to be able to take on the trail.
T: Tourist; E: Excursionist; EE: Expert Excursionist.
- The Cammino Basiliano Association is the promoter, not the organiser of the varius trails and stages.
- The hospitality is vary and heterogeneous and it is highly recommended to book in advance. Cammino Basiliano, as the promoter, not the organiser, is providing the necessary information but will not be held accountable for the quality of the services.
- The trails are often not visible nor blueprinted, it is thus highly recommended to download the GPS trail on at least one of the devices of a member of the hiking party.
- It is recommended to take on each stage with a hiking party composted of at least two members. Please be advised that vast areas of the trail have little to no mobile coverage.
- In the eventuality of rain or floods, when crossing broad streams or rivers, it is recommended to divert the path and reroute using public roads.
- When hiking between long and demanding stages, it is recommended to depart at dawn so as to not risk hiking along the trail without sunlight.
